In a global context marked by profound environmental, climatic, and socio-economic disruptions, the preservation of aquatic and terrestrial ecosystems, along with the safeguarding of public health and food security, has become a major and interconnected challenge.
Natural ecosystems—whether marine, freshwater, or terrestrial—play a fundamental role in maintaining biodiversity, regulating the climate, producing food resources, and supporting human health.
However, these ecosystems are increasingly threatened by overexploitation, pollution, expanding urbanization, and climate change.
Faced with these challenges, this congress aims to bring together researchers, decision-makers, professionals, development actors, farmers, fishers, and citizens to share knowledge, experiences, and innovations. The goal is to better understand the interactions between natural environments and food systems, identify sustainable solutions, and promote integrated governance that takes into account ecological balance, health imperatives, and the nutritional needs of populations.
This congress is intended to be a platform for scientific and technical dialogue, as well as a space for collective engagement to rethink our models of production, consumption, and natural resource management in favor of a fairer, more resilient, and life-respecting future.
Passionate biologist and educator dedicated to advancing biological research and inspiring the next generation of scientists.
