5.3.1 – In 2023, the university worked to accept all applications submitted to it within the framework of its policy based on providing a free service of an educational and developmental nature, and this is what makes it accept 100% of women\u2019s applications for admission, as well as men\u2019s applications.<\/p>\n

5.3.2 – In 2023, the University of Souk Ahras worked to support women’s enrollment at the university, as evidenced by statistics showing that the majority of the university\u2019s students are female. University Policy<\/a><\/p>\n

5.3.3 – In accordance with Algerian laws, particularly Articles 36 and 65, which guarantee Algerian women’s access to positions of responsibility in public bodies and institutions, as well as the right to education, the University of Souk Ahras ensures the implementation of these laws.<\/span><\/p>\n

5.3.4 – In 2023, the University of Souk Ahras worked on encouraging and assisting women to enroll in underrepresented fields, with women forming the largest group in most faculties, including the technical ones.<\/span><\/p>\n

5.6.1 –\u00a0 the University of Souk Ahras implemented a policy of non-discrimination against women by opening the door to nominations for all leadership positions in respect of the Algerian Labor Law, and Article No. 03 of the University\u2019s Charter of Professional Ethics and Ethics, established in 2021.<\/p>\n

5.6.3 – In accordance with Algerian state laws, specifically the Public Employment Law No. 03-06 dated July 15, 2006, the University of Souk Ahras ensures a maternity policy that supports women\u2019s participation.<\/span><\/p>\n

Article 213: A female employee benefits from maternity leave during pregnancy and childbirth in accordance with the applicable legislation.<\/p>\n

Article 214: Starting from the end of her maternity leave, a breastfeeding employee is entitled to two paid hours of absence each day during the first six months, and one paid hour each day during the following six months.<\/p>\n

5.6.6 – In 2023, through its Preventive Medicine Unit, the University of Souk Ahras organized orientation programs for faculty, female staff, and female students, including awareness days on breast cancer, AIDS, and smoking. A significant attendance was observed, with more than 20% of the female students participating.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

5.6.7 – The University of Souk Ahras tracks graduation rates for women compared to men and implements initiatives to close the gap.<\/span><\/p>\n

5.6.8 – In 2023, the University of Souk Ahras provided an opportunity to report any violations to students and employees, and provided protection for them from discrimination and deprivation of job and educational opportunities, through the Professional Ethics Committee, which monitors and reports violations, as mentioned in (Article 1.3.2)\u00a0 .<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0From the University\u2019s Charter of Ethics and Ethics.<\/p>\n

5.6.9 – The University of Souk Ahras ensures the implementation of Algerian state laws that require the application of paternity policies. Law 03-06, dated July 15, 2006, allows fathers to benefit from a 3-day paid leave to take care of and look after a newborn. The same law also permits fathers to take unpaid leave in case of emergency situations.<\/p>\n
