The relationship between Orientalism and Arabic Literature is still stimulating an ongoing debate among both Western and Arab critics and if there is a common agreement about the voluminous writings of Orientalists concerning Ancient Arabic literature, the contemporary Arabic literature does not achieve a full recognition and acceptance among academic western scholars, Charles Pellat \u2013as an example- states that he has been interested in Ancient Arabic literature but the Modern one is only an European literature in Arabic letters.<\/p>\n

Consequently, (Roua Fikria) addresses its 7 th issue (February 2018) to focus on Orientalist texts that are relevant to understanding how Arabic Contemporary Literature has been represented and studied by Western scholars. The 7 th issue will bring teachers, researchers and eminent scholars together to discuss the following issues and topics:<\/p>\n
