    S4 − Chemical kinetics

Chemical kinetics, also known as reaction kinetics, focuses on how fast chemical reactions occur and the mechanisms by which reactants are converted into products. Unlike thermodynamics, which predicts whether a reaction is feasible, kinetics explains the rate at which a reaction proceeds and the conditions that can accelerate or slow it down. It applies to chemical reactions as well as physical processes and has implications in fields such as biology, engineering, and environmental science.
