A coordination meeting was held on Sunday, June 9, 2024, chaired by Professor Noura Moussa, the university director. The meeting was attended by the deans of faculties, directors of institutes, the incubator director (head of the information and communication cell), vice deans, vice directors of institutes, the head of the networks center, university IT engineers, and the heads of pedagogical departments.

♦️ Before starting the meeting, the director commended everyone’s efforts in their respective positions, facilitating the near completion of the academic year. However, she emphasized the importance of the upcoming period and the necessity of this meeting to address any shortcomings and unresolved issues. The meeting primarily discussed the following points:

▪︎ The need for clear foresight regarding the planned completion date of the academic year.

▪︎ Ongoing monitoring of communications between the ministry and the university through its four vice rectorates in coordination with the faculties.

▪︎ Pedagogical costs, particularly for temporary professors during the academic year.

▪︎ The progress of deliberations: the completion status of deliberations for all fields, specializations, levels, and cycles, and the necessity to adhere to ministry recommendations to extend evening work hours to facilitate deliberations, especially given the internet outages coinciding with the baccalaureate exams. The director listened to detailed reports from the deans about deliberations and Progres system issues. Subsequently, she gave the floor to the head of the networks center, IT engineers, and heads of pedagogical departments to address the outstanding problems, their nature, and solutions.

▪︎ The director also listened to the vice deans and directors of institutes about the pedagogical situation in faculties and institutes and examined the current issues.

The director and attendees established precise mechanisms to complete the academic year according to the pre-planned schedule, which should only be extended for exceptional circumstances reported in advance. This is to ensure certificates are delivered within the specified timeframes.

▪︎ The second point of the meeting focused on the discussions of students involved in Decision 1275. The director listened to reports from the incubator director about the current and future state of the incubator and the schedule for student discussions. She emphasized the importance of the file for students involved in Decision 1275, considering it a significant file that should yield meaningful results for both students and the university.

▪︎ Finally, the director stressed the importance of coordinating between faculties and the pedagogy department to form a management cell to complete the academic year, which she would personally oversee. She also emphasized the utmost care in printing graduation certificates to avoid errors in their issuance. The director concluded the session by urging everyone to put in more effort to complete the academic year.
