Content | Teaching objectives: This course aims to train the student to use the computer, know its operating systems, and its applications, especially Office programs, and train him to use them, in order to prepare him to prepare his graduation thesis on his own. Content of the course: 1 - Searching via the Internet: The student deals with methods of searching for various files via the Internet, such as images, information and data, video and audio links... 2 - Operating system: Getting to know a number of different operating systems (Windows, Mac, Linux). ..) and the differences between them, and understanding the shortcomings and defects of each system. 3 - Computer security: learning about computer hacking methods, how to prevent them, dealing with security risks related to the network, and mastering methods of protection from viruses and spyware. 4 - Networking: knowing how to build a network Internal (to a group of connected computers) or external (the Internet) and network problems and solutions within the limits of methods of protection from viruses and spyware. 5 - Creating an e-mail (Email): How to create an e-mail to communicate with colleagues and exchange information via it, and learn how to attach documents to e-mail messages ... 6 - PDF file: How to create this type of important folder, how to work with it, extract elements from it, how to control its size, and convert it to text or images... 7 - Office package: The student learns about types of paid office packages The free software and its features, and the advantages and disadvantages of each package, the most famous of which is Microsoft Office. 8 - Word (The student deals with editing texts, and performing all technical operations, such as cutting and pasting, copying, designing, formatting, using forms, inserting images and hyperlinks, saving and printing the document... 9 - Powerpoint (specializing in presentations, Through it, the student learns how to build and design presentation slides, which contain visual and audio effects... 11 - Excel (Exel) The student is trained in this program in order to count, organize, and calculate data in tables, and prepare authorities and curves that highlight the results of field work. 11 - E-mail: The student learns how to photograph documents, create them, and send them to his colleagues, how to receive them, open them, keep them, and retrieve them... 12 - Fonts: Types of computer fonts and their properties, the artistic and technical differences between them, the appropriate font, and knowing how to benefit from them in preparing text, Internet fonts, title fonts, and marginalization fonts... 13 - Tools: The student benefits from auxiliary tools, such as search engines, rhyming, spelling, and grammar correction, computer dictionaries, electronic encyclopedias, and automated indexing... 14 - Preparing a memorandum: The student learns all Issues related to the technical preparation and design of the memorandum, such as the cover page, fonts used, appendix, tables, binding, paper used, printing and color techniques... Evaluation method: Lectures are evaluated via an exam at the end of the semester, while the evaluation of directed work is continuous throughout the semester.
