
This course handout is intended for third-year undergraduate (LMD) students in the Electromechanics program at Mohamed Echerrif Messaadia University of Souk Ahras. It may also be of interest to students in engineering sciences.
The main objectives of this course are to:
- Develop students’ skills in industrial maintenance;
- Use standardized technical terminology;
- Master maintenance planning, preparation, scheduling, and execution;
- Introduce modern maintenance concepts;
- Apply reliability analysis and calculation tools;
- Perform effective diagnostics;
- Apply structured problem-solving methodologies in reliability and maintenance.
The course content complies with the curriculum established by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and is designed to provide future engineers and managers with the essential knowledge required for this module.
Electromechanical equipment plays a vital role in both industry and daily life. Ensuring its availability requires effective maintenance practices. Today, maintenance is no longer viewed as a necessary burden, but as a value-creating function that contributes to the sustainability and performance of industrial enterprises.
