Mohamed Chérif Messaadia University – Souk Ahras announces the extension of the application period for admission to the second cycle (First-Year Master’s and Second-Year Master’s programmes for holders of Bachelor’s +4 and Bachelor’s +5 degrees) for the 2026/2027 academic year, in the accredited specializations and subject to the availability of pedagogical seats.

The application period has been extended from July 26, 2026, to August 6, 2026.

Eligible Applicants

80% Category

• Graduates of Mohamed Chérif Messaadia University from the 2025/2026 graduating class.

20% Category

• Recent graduates holding an LMD Bachelor’s degree from other higher education institutions.
• Previous graduates holding an LMD Bachelor’s degree from Mohamed Chérif Messaadia University.
• Previous graduates holding an LMD Bachelor’s degree from other higher education institutions.
• Graduates of the Classical System (Bachelor’s +4 and Bachelor’s +5).
• Graduates of the University of Continuing Education holding an LMD Bachelor’s degree from the 2023/2024, 2024/2025, or 2025/2026 graduating classes.
• Holders of a recognized foreign Bachelor’s degree or an officially equivalent qualification.

The Directorate-General for Scientific Research and Technological Development (DGRSDT) has made available to the national scientific community the updated lists of scientific journals classified under Category (A) and Category (B), organized according to the major fields of research. The Directorate-General has also published the updated lists of predatory journals and predatory publishers.

The lists can be accessed through the Scientific Journals section of the official website of the Directorate-General for Scientific Research and Technological Development.

The provisions of this journal classification shall apply to all scientific articles submitted from July 30, 2026, onwards.

Important Notice

In addition to being classified under Category (A) or Category (B) by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, a scientific journal must not be identified as predatory or published by a predatory publisher.

Furthermore, the journal must be free of charge, with no article processing or publication fees, except for scientific journals indexed in Web of Science or Scopus.

Researchers are kindly requested to verify the credibility of scientific journals before submitting their work and to refrain from publishing in predatory journals. They are also encouraged to notify the Directorate-General of any suspicious or cloned journal so that it may be considered for inclusion in the next update.
