This study aimed to investigate the effectiveness of using specific pedagogical strategies to enhance the linguistic intuition of Master 1 EFL students at Mohammed Cherif Messaadia University in Souk-Ahras. The research followed a pre-experimental approach with a one-group design, involving a combination of pre-questionnaire, two pre-tests , a treatment period , and a post-test . The participants were fifteen (15) Master 1 students who were trained using instructional methods emphasizing contextual clues, morphological analysis, and semantic associations to foster intuitive language skills. To test the main hypothesis suggesting that these strategies could significantly improve students’ ability to intuitively infer word meanings, two pre-tests and a post-test were conducted to assess their linguistic intuition. The treatment period included word meanings inference training using the targeted skills in an autonomous way. Throughout the study, students’ progress was monitored through three main phases: preparation, practice, and evaluation. The findings demonstrated significant improvements in students’ linguistic intuition in terms of decoding the meaning of ambiguous words, highlighting the potential of intuitive learning strategies to transform traditional EFL teaching methods and enhance language comprehension and proficiency. Additionally, the study provided insights for educators and policymakers seeking to improve EFL education practices.
