The Deputy Directorate for Higher Education in the First and Second Cycles, Continuing Education and Degrees, and Postgraduate Higher Education informs students wishing to apply for academic leave for exceptional reasons (chronic illness, maternity leave, national service, or force majeure) for the 2026/2027 academic year that applications must be submitted exclusively online via the following link:

From October 18, 2026 to January 3, 2027
Required Documents:
- Academic Leave Application Form (attached template)
- Baccalaureate transcript
- Certificate of registration or re-registration for the current academic year
- Supporting document for the academic leave request
Important Note:
- The maximum duration of academic leave is one year, renewable only once during the student’s course of study, except in cases of force majeure, as determined by the committee responsible for reviewing academic leave applications.
