As part of the launch of the Emir Abdelkader Chair at the University of Oxford, which aims to promote scientific research and interdisciplinary studies related to the humanistic and civilizational thought of Emir Abdelkader, and to highlight his contributions to the promotion of the values of peace, tolerance, and dialogue among cultures and civilizations, particularly through encouraging scientific and academic exchange between Algerian researchers and international academic institutions – and supporting research projects in the fields of humanities, social sciences, and literature, thereby contributing to the promotion of Algeria’s intellectual and civilizational heritage and strengthening the presence of Algerian researchers in international academic and research excellence spaces.
We are pleased to inform you of the opening of applications for the Research Fellowship Program (Visiting Researcher), which aims to establish a shortlist of ten (10) candidates to be submitted to the Research Grants Committee of the Center for final selection through interviews conducted remotely via videoconferencing.
This program, which will be included within the memorandum of understanding to be signed between the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the Oxford Centre for Islamic Studies, is intended for Algerian researchers from various disciplines related to:
- Humanities
- Social Sciences
- Literature
- Related disciplines
Eligibility Conditions:
- The applicant must be an Algerian researcher or university professor
- The applicant’s specialization must fall within the above-mentioned fields
- Proficiency in English is an essential requirement
