The visibility and classification of the university Scimago

University of Souk Ahras ranked fifth nationally in the Scimago classification for scientific research in 2024, advancing six positions compared to 2023. Congratulations to Mohamed-Cherif Messaidia University in Souk Ahras, and sincere thanks to our researchers who have exerted all their efforts to publish in Q1 journals.

The SCImago classification is an important indicator that compares the performance of countries and institutions in scientific publishing. This international classification ranks universities and research centers according to a composite index that combines three different main indicators based on research performance (50%), innovation outputs (30%), and societal impact (20%), with each main indicator including several sub-indicators.

This achievement is the result of the efforts and aspirations of the central administration, led by Professor Nora Moussa, through her directives that align with the ministrys instructions and her constant concern to improve the university visibility. It also reflects the concerted efforts of all scientific and administrative circles, including professors, students, and staff, which contributed to achieving this accomplishment.
