As part of the university’s openness to the community, the Faculty of Nature and Life Sciences, in collaboration with the Future Youth Academy School, Tiaret, organized an awareness day on Tuesday morning, October 14, 2025, to commemorate Pink October, Breast Cancer Awareness Month, under the slogan “For a Future Without Cancer, Let’s Act Now” at the new campus in the auditorium of the Faculty of Arts and Languages.
💫The events were inaugurated with a welcoming speech by the Faculty representative, Professor Boualleg Chehinaz, on behalf of the Dean of the Faculty , Professor Maazi Mohamed Cherif, followed by a speech from the academy director, Mrs. Toumi Alia.
💫The events included scientific activities and valuable lectures by :
🔰Dr. Sattara Tarek, a specialist in obstetrics and gynecology.
🔰Dr. Loukam Lotfi, an oncologist at Kerrar Sebti Hospital in Souk Ahras.
🔰Professor Grairaire Nesrine, a lecturer at the Faculty of Nature and Life Sciences, specializing in Food Science.
🔰Mrs. Abidi Nabila, a midwife coordinator for the Directorate of Health and Population in Souk Ahras.
🔰Mrs. Anani Widad, Deputy Director of Health Services.
💫The awareness day was also distinguished by the active participation of students from the Higher School of Teachers for Intermediate and Secondary Levels (Nature and Life Sciences) with purposeful posters about the awareness day, as well as the attendance of medical students.
