Abstract
The examination of the gills of twelve species of the Eastern Algerian coastline, enabled us to find 396 Gnathid parasites. Moreover, our results show that Gnathia sp. parasitic indices vary from one locality to another and from one species to another. However the seasonal evolution parasitisms of D. vulgaris, shows that Gnathia sp. infests their hosts in a significant way in autumnal and summer period.
