Abstract

Composite patches materials are recognized as one of the most effective ways
for the rehabilitation and repair of metal structures with damage, an alternative to the
repair of these structures is to strengthen preventively before the defects appear.
The context of this work based on the preventive maintenance metal structure in
order to delay damage and improves the mechanical characteristics of structures.
Changing the nature of the reinforcement material as well as research of the
effect of fiber orientation to determine the performance of the metal structure
bending fashion three points for the two materials aluminum and steel.
In order to increasing the performance of steel beams three-point bending .a
patch program optimization by genetic algorithm has been developed The operators of
genetic algorithms (selection, crossover and mutation) are applied .
