Abstract
The study of bioindication of the urban atmospheric pollution by using a biological lichenic transplant is a sensible way to quantify the hydrocarbons emitted by the exhaust of motor traffic. As part of our work five sampling sites were selected. They are located near roads. Samples are taken monthly lichéniques to measure the total hydrocarbons bio-accumulated in their thallus to be determined by the gravimetric method. Our work has enabled us on the one hand highlight the importance of hydrocarbon pollution generated by vehicular traffic and the other hand to appreciate the accumulating capacity of the biological indicator of vegetable nature of the lichenous species Physcia biziana.
