Abstract
This study aims to address the reality of the trend towards investment in
renewable energy technologies in Algeria in light of the dependency witnessed
by the Algerian economy of depleted energies through which Algeria has
become a hostage of fluctuations in this traditional energy's prices in global
markets, highliting its future strategies and examining the importance of this
project In translating and realizing the dimensions of sustainable development,
By contributing to the economic gains of its development projects, in reducing
energy costs, improving social conditions in the field of health, providing
positions, and preserving the environmental heritage for future generations
through clean technologies .Therefore, it has become necessary for Algeria to
go towards investing in renewable energy resources in order to ensure its
survival energy, security, and gradual transfer of the green economy concept
based on investment in renewable energies, in order to achieve sustainable
development.
To study this topic, the analytical descriptive approach was relied on the
theoretical part of the study in order to describe and know the details of
depleted and renewable energies types, and to analyze the literature and
statistics dealing with that. Also, analyzing the reality and prospects of
renewable energy development in Algeria in order to conserve accessible energy
resources .This is by achieving growth rates that contribute in the future to
establishing development projects and achieving secure energy supplies in the
medium and long term. In addition to the case study approach in the applied
aspect using the descriptive analytical statistical approach.
The study concluded that the green economy represents the path towards
achieving sustainable development As energy is one of the most important
strategic sectors that the green economy outlines to ensure its sustainability.
Although Algeria is a country abounding with huge natural resources that
makes it one of the leading countries in the field of exploiting renewable energy,
and despite the efforts made by the state in this field, but it is stumbling and its
results are still far from ambitions, and renewable energy still represents a
small percentage of the Algerian mix energy . This prompted the authorities to
draw up a strategy to advance this type of energy for the 2030 prospects.
