Abstract
Nowadays, it is important to study the impact of pollution from metal parts on the vegetation. In this context, we will try to study the accumulation of trace metal elements in two plant species (tomato and zucchini.) Three sites were selected that differ in the water used for irrigation and the plant species studied.
This, a series of analyzes by atomic absorption spectroscopy, has been done to the concerned vegetable crops, fruits (zucchini), roots, leaves, and fruit (tomato). Metal concentrations (Cr, Cu, Ni, Fe and Zn) measured in the plants irrigated by water of OuedSeybouse, are significantly higher than who standards except for the concentration of Fe in tomatoes and copper in zucchini.
There are also far higher concentrations appearing in plant species irrigated with clean water. These analyzes have concluded that the accumulation of trace metal elements (TME) depends on the species studied, the quality of irrigation water and cultivated soil.
