Abstract
Our research consists in the study of the floristic composition of three natural wetlands of the Souk-Ahras region (Madjen Bouhsane marsh, Madjen Djedj marsh and Mekeimen marsh).
68 plant species belonging to 25 families were inventoried. Overall, the Asteraceae family has the highest number of taxa and the most frequent biological types are hemicryptophytes and therophytes. The vegetation of the three sites is mapped using GIS software (MapInfo). We determined the physico-chemical quality of the soil samples to study the edaphic parameters that govern the plant groups.
Several indices (NDVI, species richness, relative abundance, Simpson index, Shannon diversity index and equitability index) were determined. Analysis of a series of satellite images from 2017 to 2020 showed that there is a proportional relationship between rainfall and NDVI. Multivariate statistical analysis (CFA, PCA, CCA) were also applied to species, sites and years of observation. The AFC allowed us to identify four groupings within the plant community studied. The application of the PCA and CCA allowed us to identify the most influential edaphic factors that influence the distribution of the different taxa.
Key words : Wetlands, plant species, soil samples, indices, multivariate statistical analysis, distribution.
