Abstract
Algerian legislature through Act No. 01-07 containing the Wakfs Act has adopted
new formulas for investment in the real estate waqf properties of urban nature,
which cannot be invested through ordinary rent to ensure the continuity of the
objectives of the waqf endowment property. For private individuals has also recently
opened up to invest in various properties provided that they are targeted to
investment projects through Executive Decree No. 18-213, despite all these
legislative in these investment properties remains very limited compared to the size
of the waqf properties, thus presenting the following question: How effective are the
investment formulas triggered by the Algerian legislature in the real estate waqf
properties development of urban nature
