Abstract
Abstract
The current experimental study probed the role of educational songs, as an independent variable, in enhancing the pronunciation skill, as a dependent variable, among third year young pupil at Hassiba Ben Bouali primary school. Our research targeted a population of 45 young pupil that were divided into two groups. Group 1 (G1) consisted of 20 pupils and Group 2 (G2) embraced 25 pupils. The researcher opted for the triangulation of three methods to collect more credible and reliable data. Initially, the observation was conducted with both groups. Secondly, the researcher chose group 2 as Experimental Group (EG) while group 1 remained as Control Group (CG). Thirdly, a semi-structured interview was conducted with one EFL teacher. The gathered data have proved that the educational song has a positive impact on pupil’ pronunciation when teaching English as Foreign Language (EFL) among young pupil. So, EFL teachers have to exploit educational songs to allow their pupils pronounce correctly English at an early age.
