Abstract

Motivation plays an essential role in the teaching learning process. It is one of the fundamental research studies which leads researchers to investigate the strategies and the factors that can maintain students\' motivation. Several English teachers tend to use different strategies in order to improve the students\' motivation to learn EFL. The aim of this research is to discuss the various motivational techniques that can be used by English teachers, and the major difficulties that may impact on the teacher\'s performance. The present study also seeks to find out and determine the major motivational strategies used by EFL teacher in Mohammed Cherif Messaidia University of Souk Ahras. The questionnaire was distributed to EFL students and teachers. From the questionnaires and the observation a qualitative data were collected and analyzed. The findings of this study allow us to find out whether the use of the motivational strategies is effective to the learner or they could not apply such techniques because of the lack of materials. The results show that the EFL teachers use several ways to improve the level of the student in learning. However there are many difficulties in terms of means of technology. Teachers use the appropriate techniques in order to increase the learner\'s motivation.
