Abstract
The present study aims to implement critical thinking in teaching oral English and to check the possibility of implementing those critical thinking skills in EFL classes, especially when dealing with oral classes, also to see how can develop learners’ creativity, oral performance and the ability to speak in a fluent and accurate manner; because oral skills needs thinking especially in a critical way this help learners in language performance and make learners rely on their thoughts and point of views, this research takes place at the university of souk Ahras and it has been achieved through a qualitative and quantitative method, the data collected from questionnaire with 3rd EFL year learners and interviews with English teachers. The results shows that there is a possibility of implementing critical thinking in teaching oral skills, also teachers and learners agreed that CT skills are important in the learning process because it helps learners in self-expressing, problem solving and decision making. It ends up with some suggestions for both teachers and learners to develop more CT skills via the use of more strategies to improve learners thinking process and to be aware about the importance of CT skills.
