Abstract
-
Scientific research in the field of media and communication, as a branch of the humanities, relies on a set of methodological procedures that help researchers define their research objectives, structure its elements, and achieve societal, scientific, and personal benefits. The media and communication field is rich with research topics due to its modernity and reliance on technology. Additionally, it offers various specialized subfields, including public relations, with diverse topics and models that benefit from both quantitative and qualitative research approaches. This contributes to building a solid methodological and theoretical foundation and conducting structured applied studies based on scientific principles.
Students must focus on the scientific procedures that underpin any research or study to ensure the effectiveness of their work.
These lectures are designed for first-year Master’s students in Communication and Public Relations to train them in preparing their graduation thesis and mastering methodological procedures in alignment with their research environment and requirements. The lectures are divided into key sections that form the fundamental structure of research in the humanities and specifically in public relations studies, with precise attention to both theoretical and practical aspects.
