Abstract
The sustainable development is an awareness integrated by the various dimensions into
which the man develops. Applied to a district and to its buildings, the approach of Sustainable development aims at defining the main options which, today, return the livable, desirable city for its inhabitants and users will and the organization of the political decision-makers, technical persons in charge and concerned actors are at the heart of this approach. The environmental protection is thus more considered as an obstacle to the development, but on the contrary as a condition necessary for a sustainable development.
Of this shown will, the urban policies dedicated since a considerable importance to the urban
green spaces which are allocated to the not built spaces. In Algeria the green space is almost considered as an investment of temporary decoration just for a visit of responsible. With green spaces designed and adapted to our cities and villages, the population will more feel at ease on its territory and reconciled with itself and with nature. How then explain the decline of our living environment on all the Algerian territory. Skikda, coastal city in the Algerian northeast also shows a big deficit in green spaces following the example of the other Algerian cities. Indeed, real Skikda petrochemical pole undergoes daily an alarming degradation of the environment and the living
environment of its population under the combined action of several constraints:
- Important flow of the drift from the land;
- Mindless urbanization of its space which makes confuse the industrial fabric in urban
fabrics and agricultural;
- An urban pollution generated by the diverse combustions of the domestic homes and the
motor vehicles;
- A specific industrial pollution linked to the various processes of the units.
For various reasons the problem of green areas in urban cities has never been seriously studieduntil now in Algeria is why we suggested in our work a proposed development of a suburban areaof Skikda in forest green space.
