The relationship between Orientalism and Arabic Literature is still stimulating an ongoing debate among both Western and Arab critics and if there is a common agreement about the voluminous writings of Orientalists concerning Ancient Arabic literature, the contemporary Arabic literature does not achieve a full recognition and acceptance among academic western scholars, Charles Pellat –as an example- states that he has been interested in Ancient Arabic literature but the Modern one is only an European literature in Arabic letters.
