This charter was designed to uphold the principles of equality, respect, and inclusiveness across all university activities and interactions.
10.6.5 – In 2023, the University of Souk Ahras established the role of Diversity Officer to strengthen its commitment to an inclusive and respectful academic environment. This position is held by an individual who also serves as the designated representative of the Professional Ethics Committee, ensuring that diversity initiatives align closely with the university’s standards of professional ethics. This dual role emphasizes the university’s dedication to ethical conduct and diversity, fostering a welcoming environment for all members of the academic community.
10.6.6 – In 2023, the University of Souk Ahras provided guidance and orientation for first-year bachelor’s students, with field supervisors explaining progression and evaluation methods in undergraduate studies. Additionally, the university’s platforms, represented by the business incubator, the Innovation Support Center, and the University-Industry Linkage Office, organized awareness days for graduating students about Law 1275, which facilitates the establishment of startups.
10.6.7 – The University of Souk Ahras adhered to accessibility standards for individuals with disabilities when constructing its buildings, as shown in the displayed images.
10.6.8 – In 2023, Souk Ahras University expanded its support for individuals with disabilities by offering specialized services through its Preventive Medicine Unit. This unit provides essential health services tailored to meet the needs of students with disabilities, promoting their well-being and ensuring they have access to medical support on campus. Additionally, the university introduced psychological support services, led by a dedicated psychologist, to provide mental health assistance and personalized guidance for students facing psychological challenges. Through these initiatives, Souk Ahras University reaffirms its commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive, and accessible environment for all students.
10.6.9 – In 2023, Souk Ahras University strengthened its support for students with disabilities by offering tailored services designed to meet their unique needs. The university provides psychological support through a dedicated on-campus psychologist, offering personalized counseling and mental health assistance to ensure students feel supported in their academic journey. Additionally, for students with visual impairments, the university introduced specialized exam assistance, where trained staff read exam questions aloud and transcribe responses on behalf of the student. These efforts reflect Souk Ahras University’s dedication to creating an inclusive educational environment where every student has the opportunity to succeed.
10.6.10 – Souk Ahras University implemented a comprehensive policy to ensure that students with disabilities receive personalized support and accommodations tailored to their specific needs. This policy includes offering flexible study programs that adapt to each student’s unique circumstances, such as adjusting class schedules, providing additional treatment or support hours, and designing academic plans that take into account individual health and mobility requirements. By addressing the particular situation of each student with a disability, the university demonstrates its commitment to fostering an inclusive learning environment that empowers all students to achieve their educational goals.

10.6.11 – Since its inception and throughout 2023, the University of Souk Ahras upholds a firm anti-harassment policy grounded in our Charter of Professional Ethics. We are committed to fostering a respectful, inclusive, and safe environment for all members of our community, where each individual is valued and protected from any form of harassment. Our policy emphasizes that harassment of any kind—whether based on race, gender, sexual orientation, disability, religion, or other personal characteristics—will not be tolerated. Through this policy, the university ensures that everyone is aware of their rights and responsibilities, promoting integrity, dignity, and mutual respect within our campus and beyond.
