Content | Chapter1: Main industrial adsorbents, selection criteria, regeneration methods, main industrial applications. Chapter 2: Adsorption dynamics (preceded by a reminder of the general laws of physical adsorption). Chapter 3: Batch processes/continuous processes (breakthrough curve). Chapter 4: Adsorption separation processes - Pressure swing. -Temperature modulation. Chapter 5: Adsorption kinetics and calculation of the adsorption rate (pseudo first and second order model plus intra-particulate and extra-particulate diffusion model). Part Two: Membrane separation processes (8 weeks) Chapter 1: Generalities and definitions Chapter 2. Membranes Structure, characterisation and membrane modules of industrial installations. Chapter 3: Membrane separation techniques Microfiltration, Ultrafiltration, Nanofiltration, Reverse Osmosis and Electrodialysis. |
