Chapter2:Crystallochemistry3 weeks Polyhedral description of structures, connectivity. Chapter3:Periodicityandin-depthstudyofelementproperties:3 weeks Halogens, chalcogens, nitrogen and phosphorus, boron. Chapter4:Majormetallurgies4 weeks (Fe,Ti,Cu,Mg) Chapter5: Major mineral syntheses4 weeks (H2SO4,H3PO4,NH3,HNO3)
Evaluation	Continuous assessment: 40%; Final examination: 60%.
