Content | Contents : Chapter 1: Solutions 3 weeks Definitions: Concentrations: molarity, normality, molality, titre, molar and mass fraction, activity, etc. . Conductimetry: ion mobility, electrolytes (strong, weak), conductivity (specific and molar), conductimetric cell, Kohlrausch\'s law, conductimetric assay. Chapter 2: Acids-Bases 3 weeks -Acid-base equilibria in aqueous solution: acidity scale, acidity constant (Ka, pKa), dilution law (Oswald), pH calculation (simple solutions, mixtures, saline solutions, buffer solutions, ampholytic solutions), reaction predictions, acid-base assays (polyacids and polybases). - Coloured indicators Chapter 3: Oxidation-reduction 3 weeks Definition, oxidant, reductant, redox reactions, oxidation state and number, balancing redox reactions, electrochemical cells, thermodynamic aspects, electrodes.
