Content | Teaching objectives 1. Introduction to multidisciplinary reading of literary texts 2. Introduction to different approaches to literary genres. 3. Make known major authors of Algerian and French literature. Content of the subject Three parts constitute the teaching of the subject: A general introductory introduction to the theory of literature, introductory courses targeting notions and approaches likely to serve to study texts chosen in the field of Algerian literature in French or where applicable in French literature. These texts constitute the corpus of study of the works directed. General 1. Problems of definitions: Text, Literature, literariness: Aristotle’s Poetics, The poetic function of Roman Jackobson, Literacy and Ungrammaticality, Language poetics and the generation of the text of Michael Riffaterre. 2. Literary genres: Novel, These lessons are not in-depth and largely illustrated by concrete examples. The autobiographical story 1. Theory of autobiography 2. The autobiographical pact 3. Formal and generics 4. Factual, fictional and generic variations 5. Autobiography in the field French-speaking Algerian literature. Application: The two incipits: Mouloud Feraoun, The poor man\\\'s son, Paris, Seuil, 1955 Assia Djebar, L’Amour la fantasia, Paris, Albin Michel, 1985 I. Introduction to narratology:: Author and narrator, character, Narrative voice, Status of narrator, Focus or point of view, Narrator functions, Narration time, Effects reading etc. Application: The two incipits cited. II. Introduction to the gateway method: The literary work is a reflection of its time: The text is an individual creation (personal matrix) and a social product (matrix social); The text as archive or testimony, The author as witness of his time (in particularly in the autobiographical story). III. Application to the two incipits cited: Historical-sociological issues in the period colonial/ IV. Literary discourse: Critique of structuralism, Theory of enunciation and Analysis of literary discourse. V. Application to the two incipits cited: Identification of the speech, scene of enunciation and discourse analysis. |
