Content	Teaching objectives: - Understand the stages of scientific research - Understand the principles of scientific research - Be able to identify, define and properly formulate a research subject - Know the type and nature of scientific research “resources” and “documents” - Be able to establish the link between the nature and level of the information sought and the type of selected document - Be able to organize and reference selected documents. Material content: 1. The stages of documentary research 2. Literature search strategies: basic principles - documentary research - library recovery of a known document - search for documents using keywords - search for documents by tracing bibliographic channels 3. Nature and identification of resources and documents - Examples of documents - The manual book chapter, treatise, dictionary article: particular works, published article in a scientific periodical… 4. Documentary language and documentation tool - indexing function - nature of the indexing language - indexing elements integrated into documents - documentary catalogs - indexing: a difficult categorization task
