Content | Contents : 1. General information on immune responses: Bone marrow; Thymus; Lymph nodes; Mucosa-associated lymphoid tissues (MALT); Spleen; Antigen-presenting cells (APCs and others). 2. Haematopoiesis: Control/regulation of the differentiation and proliferation of haematopoietic stem cells; Lymphopoiesis; Myelopoiesis. 3. Activation of lymphocytes (T and B). 4. Antibody synthesis and diversity; B epitopes; differentiation and maturation of B lymphocytes. 5. Cellular immunity: T helper lymphocytes and lymphokine production; Cytotoxic T lymphocytes; T lymphocyte receptors; Phenomenon of cytotoxicity. 6. T-B interaction; Functional consequences following antigen recognition: (Transduction signals and transcription); T signalling, Early and late activation events, the ca2+/Calcineurin connection, involvement of G proteins: The main regulatory molecules (CD 2, CD 28, CD45); B signalling/Early and late phosphorylation events following antigen binding to the BCR. Molecules regulating BCR activation: CD19, CD21, CD80 (B7), CD 40; feedback regulation. 7. Acquisition of memory; speciality of acquired immunity; vaccination. 8.
