Content | Education objectives: This standard aims to deepen students’ knowledge of methods for analyzing poetic texts in Western and Arab criticism and to identify: concepts, steps and procedures between the general framework and Arab specificity. With applied studies in analyzing poetic texts. Content of the course: Lecture vocabulary: 1- Conceptual introduction: Discourse/text. 2- Discourse analysis and the linguistic and formal heritage. 3- Analysis of poetic discourse and critical approaches. 4- The peculiarities of poetic discourse. 5- Contextual approaches to Arabic poetry: selected models. 6- Readings of ancient Arabic poetry. (Historical reading and mythological reading) 7- Readings of ancient Arabic poetry. (Structural Reading) 8- Structural analysis of Arabic poetic discourse: selected models. 9- Stylistic analysis of Arabic poetry: selected examples. 10- Semiotic reading of poetic discourse: selected models for application. 11- Deconstructive reading of poetic discourse: selected models for application. 12- The theory of reading and reception and its applications to poetic discourse: selected models for application. 13- Cultural approaches to poetic discourse: selected models for application. 14- Poetic discourse analysis: a critical reading of procedural, methodological and terminological issues.
