Content | Education objectives: This standard aims to deepen students’ knowledge of the concepts of folklore and popular culture, their issues, theories, and study methods. Their importance as a component of identity, and a source of writing history. Content of the course: 1- The concept of folklore and popular culture. 2- Methods of studying folklore. 3- Folklore is a source of historical knowledge. 4- The mythical reading of history. 5- Popular biography is a source for studying social history. 6- A reading of Antara’s biography. 7- A reading of the biography of Al-Zahir Baybars. 8- Popular biographies and inspiration from historical figures. 9- Historical figures in the biography of Al-Zahir Baybars. 10- Sultana Shajarat al-Durr between history and popular biography. 11- The Crescent Biography between Literature and History. 12- Algerian popular poetry is a source of popular resistance writing. 13- Algerian popular poetry is a source for writing the history of the liberation revolution. 14- The popular vision of the Crusades in One Thousand and One Nights. Evaluation method: The evaluation of directed works is continuous throughout the semester.
