Content	Chapter 1 Biomonitoring and notions of bioindicator, bio integrator, biomarker, bioaccumulator… Chapter 2-Effects of pollutants on populations: 1-1.evaluation of the toxicity of a pollutant (toxicity tests, ecotoxicological parameters and their determination); 1-2.effects of pollutants on the interaction between populations of 2 species; 1-3. adaptation of populations to pollutants “tolerance and resistance” Chapter 3 Pollutant monitoring: 2-1.monitoring pollutants in biotopes; 2-2.contamination of organisms (use of bioindicator species in aquatic environments: parasites indicating the quality of ecosystems, parasitism and pollution); 2-3.bioassays; 2-4.physiological and biochemical indicators (biomarkers) in ecotoxicology. Chapter 4-Forecasting effects: 3-1.prediction of the bioaccumulation potential of a pollutant in food webs; 3-2.experiments on pollutants in situ. Chapter 5-Xenobiotics and endocrine disruptions: 4-1.definition of endocrine disruptors and general mode of action; 4-2.influence on the reproductive and hepatic systems.
Evaluation	Continuous assessment and a written exam.
