II/ MULTIFUNCTIONAL COMPOUNDS 1. Polyenes: methods of preparation, reactivity (Diels-alder and other reaction of cycloaddition). 2. Polyhalogenated compounds: methods of preparation and reactivity. 3. Poly-Hydroxylated Compounds (POLYOLS): Dihydroxylated derivatives (diols): geminal diols (carbonyl hydrates), glycols -glycols or 1,2-diol, -glycols or 1,3-diol, glycols or 1,4-diol)- Triols: glycerol (1,2,3- triol)- Diphenols (catechol, resorcinol, hydroquinone, flavonoids, anthocyanidin, etc.) 4.
