Content | 1. Introduction: The fields of activity of industrial microbiology and the interest of the use of microorganisms, bacterial cell: microbial product of industrial interest 2. Useful Microorganisms (Archaea, bacteria, Archaea, fungi, algae and Viruses): Reminder of Taxonomy, importance of microorganisms in industry. 3. Industrial culture media. 4. Industrial fermentations: -The fermenter -Proteins of unicellular organisms: P.O.U. or SCP, the organisms used and the most suitable inexpensive substrates 5. Industrial fermentation products: 5.1. Primary metabolites obtained by microbial fermentation: -Amino acids -Organic acids -Biogas (H2, CH4, etc.) -Vaccines 5.2. Secondary metabolites: -Antibiotics (penicillin, streptomycin, tetracycline -Vitamins (B12) -Polysaccharides 5.3. Enzymes. |
