Content | Chapter 1: Introduction - Mathematical Modelling of Transport Phenomena Conservation principle, continuity equation, energy equation, chemical species conservation equation. Chapter 2: Classification of Differential Partial Differential Equations - Classification in the mathematical sense. - Classification in the physical sense. Chapter 3: Discretisation methods - Finite difference method (detailed). - Finite volume method (detailed). - Finite element method. Chapter 4: Elliptic equations - 1D steady state conduction Mesh, Conductivity at interfaces, Source term linearisation, Boundary conditions and Solving linear algebraic equations (TDMA method). - 2D and 3D conduction Solving algebraic equations (Gauss-Seidel method, Relaxation method). |
