Content | Chapter 1: Two-phase fluid-fluid reactors (6 weeks) - Introduction; -Effect of the chemical reaction on matter transfer (Two-film theory; Pseudo-first-order reaction-Hatta number (Ha); Rapid reaction regime-Acceleration factor E; Instantaneous reaction regime-Diagram E as a function of Ha); - Calculations of two-phase reactors (batch reactors, piston reactors, perfectly stirred continuous reactors). Chapter 2: Fluid-solid catalytic reactors (6 weeks) - Intra-particle diffusion (Number of Thièle; Efficiency). - Efficiency and external matter transfer (Effect of catalyst grain diameter; External matter transfer). - Influence of internal diffusion on the reaction (Weisz-Prater criterion); Influence of external matter transfer on the reaction (Mears criterion). - Fixed bed reactors ; Fluidised bed reactors. Chapter 3: Non-catalytic fluid-solid reactors (3 weeks) Shrinkingcore model. |
