Content	Chapter 1: General information on air pollution and gaseous effluents - Sources of pollution - The main air pollutants - Main treatment methods for these pollutants Chapter 2: Treatment processes for gaseous effluents from stationary sources - Absorption, Gas-liquid contactors, Packed column sizing with and without chemical reaction, Plate column sizing - Adsorption - Thermal oxidation, Catalytic oxidation - Condensation, Biofiltration, Flaring. Chapter 3: Treatment processes for dust from stationary sources - Bag filters, Cyclone, Venturi, Electrofilter. Chapter 4: Treatment of pollution from mobile sources - Petrol and diesel vehicles: pollutants emitted, emission standards, catalytic converters, two-way and three-way catalysts, etc. Chapter 5: Measurement of gases and particles (Sampling and analysis)
Evaluation	Continuous assessment: 40%; Exam: 60%.
