Content	1. The functions of words and groups of words in the sentence 2. The notion of function: it concerns the nominal group, the adjectival group, the prepositional group and the subordinate clause (complementive, relative, circumstantial). 2.1. The nominal group: it can be subject, complement, attribute or put in apposition. 2.2. Functions in the nominal group: expansion of the noun (epithet function, noun complement function). 2.3. 2. The verbal group: the object complement and attribute functions 2.4. 3. The circumstantial group: the circumstantial complement function
