Content | Teaching objectives The main objective is to work on understanding through audiovisual media and to encourage production through public speaking in various situations (solo, in pairs, in groups) while providing advice and guidance from the start of the year necessary to overcome stress and stage fright which are the main causes of failure of a oral communication. Beyond the linguistic dimension, the module also aims to make the public understand that oral communication is not limited only to the verbal parameter but goes beyond it by also involving another equally important parameter: the extralinguistic parameter which refers to the paraverbal and nonverbal elements that enter into the composition of the message oral and which convey a sociocultural value that speakers must know and master in order to succeed in their oral performances. Content of the subject Theoretical foundations: - The overall pattern of oral communication - Oral communication: key elements - Oral between benchmarks and parameters - Impregnation and practical advice on oral communication: Viewing video extracts covering practical advice to follow when speaking in public with a view to give learners a general idea of the specificities of communication situations oral. These are extracts presented by international consultants Jean-François Demeyer, Yves Gautier and Florence Bald. Practical aspect: 1. Communication situation with one or more speakers such as: “Talk show” and \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\" One man show \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\" Activity #1: Talk show: - Understanding: Watching a video on a type one communication situation transmitter/multiple receivers “Talk Show” version: the television show “Comment succeed in journalism? » by Théo Phan. - Expression: Simulation activity by putting the content of the program into practice by groups of students with a view to redeploying the different elements on stage recorded in the reference course. Activity #2: One Man Show: - Understanding: Watching video extracts on a typical communication situation one transmitter/several receivers “One Man Show” version: oral presentation of an extract from the Encircled Corpse of Kateb Yacine by the Algerian theater actor Sid Ahmed Aggoumi, of the sketch “the blond” by Gad El Maleh (spoken voice), and the songs “the beautiful eyes of the Mama” by Kenji Girac and “white roses” by Berthe Silva (singing voice). - Expression: Simulation activity by putting the content of the video into practice through groups of students with a view to redeploying the different elements on stage recorded in the reference course. |
