Abstract

The aim of study entitled "The Algerian University’s uses of innovation knowledge socitey" To uncover the mechanisms and forms of using innovation adopted by the university institution to build a knowledge society.
The study seeks to identify the availability of the requirements of the knowledge society at the University of Constantine 1, the University of Annaba and the University of Setif 1, and the most important responses that these universities have undertaken in light of the political and economic technological changes.
It also aims to analyze the websites of the universities as a sub-format that expresses the presence and virtual presence For universities in the digital environment, in order to reach a judgment on the quality of the site and thus improve the global ranking of the universities under study.
To achieve these goals, the study started from a major question posed as follows:
 How does the Algerian University use innovation in the knowledge society? Which in turn was divided into three sub-questions:
 How does scientific research contribute to increasing the scientific production of Algerian universities?
 How does the universitie’s website contribute to the spread of knowledge?
 How does the university/institution relationship contribute to the evaluation of the results of scientific research?
To answer these questions, the researcher relied on a mixed approach (quantitative and qualitative) that is compatible with the problem of the research and with the tools chosen, including the questionnaire, which was applied to (heads of laboratories) and the interview that was directed (for website dministrators, and external relations officials) as well. The questionnaire and the note were applied to the websites of the three universities under study, and the most important results were as follows:
 The researcher professor in Algeria suffers from a set of difficulties, the most important of which is the absence of an environment conducive to research, the large administrative burden, as well as the lack of training.
 There are efforts on the part of the Algerian state to improve spending on scientific research.
 The absence of a written strategy for scientific research at the Algerian University has affected the development of scientific research.
 Among the motivations for the respondents' use is to learn about developments in scientific research and search for information.
 Respondents face several problems when using the site, including the language problem, communication problem and slow download.
 The purpose of the university’s openness to its surroundings is to solve social problems, to contribute to economic development projects and to solve raised research problems.
 The Algerian University is facing difficulty in applying patents.
