Abstract
The rainwater harvesting is one of a lot of solutions which can face the increasing demand on the drinking water.
However good practices of this unconventional water may produce a water almost free and have a positive impacts on many decisions, where one of theme where is the purpose of our study: the protect and prevention against flooding in the urban area.
the hydraulic behavior of the flow inside the trunk sewer of bouchagouf town - Algeria - was studied with and without harvested rainwater, the difference was noteworthy, and the results shows that the catched rate of rainwater from roofs can protects the urban areas against flooding
