Corruption is a serious phenomenon in Algerian society, especially in the area of public employment and public administration. The Algerian legislature has been committed to addressing them in a manner consistent with their nature. It has provided for the establishment of independent bodies to prevent and combat corruption, namely, the supreme authority for transparency and the prevention and control of corruption, which has given it a new solution different from its predecessor. and the Central Office for the Suppression of Corruption, which plays an important role in the detection of these crimes and those involved in them. Corruption offences are subject to the general rules governing the rest of the offences from the stage of research and investigation until sentencing, giving them a kind of privacy that distinguishes them from others. by expanding the local jurisdiction of both judicial police officers and the Public Prosecutor\'s Office, as well as the investigating judge and the courts, It has created specialized regional penal poles for which it is considering, not only this, but also some of the most complex forms of corruption. As for the penalties established for this criminal pattern, the legislature has pursued a policy of tightening its penalties, despite the fact that all its forms describe misdemeanours; Not only was corruption offences transferred abroad not subject to statute of limitations as an exception to the general rule.
