Abstract
This study aimed at suggesting an educational sports program based on the problem-solving method to contribute to the development of some basic motor skills in handball among middle school students (12-13) years old. The studies were conducted in one of the middle schools in the state of Tebessa (the middle school of Messi Muhammad Al-Taher Al-Aouinat). The sample consisted of (60) students of both sexes. The sample was chosen intentionally into two equal groups (30) students (15) males and (15) females in each group.The first class (2 MS1) was chosen as an experimental sample (taught according to the problem-solving method), and the second class (2MS2) was chosen as a control sample (taught according to the Interactive lecture method). The researcher relied on the experimental method by designing the experimental and control groups with pre- and post-tests, and in order to collect data, the researcher used a sports program (basic motor skills tests in handball) which contained nine (09) motor skill tests, and an educational program (a learning unit in handball according to the problem-solving method) that contained (14) educational units in the collective field of handball at the second-year middle school students. They were distributed over (08) weeks, at a rate of two (02) educational units per week for the experimental sample. For the purposes of processing the data and testing the study hypotheses, the researcher used the following statistical methods: the arithmetic mean, standard deviation, coefficient of skewness, coefficient of kurtosis, the “T” Test for two related samples and two independent samples, Pearson correlation coefficient, and “Cohen\'s d” law,The study reached the following results:
